FAQ

  • Ordering FAQ - the Finix Way

At Finix Sockeye Co., we don’t sell factory fish in plastic trays. We bring you wild sockeye, caught by hand, filleted by hand, and offered with the same pride as your neighborhood fishmonger — only frozen within hours of harvest.

  • How do I place an order?

Fill out our Order Form. It’s like stepping up to the fish counter and telling us what you’re looking for. We’ll follow up personally to confirm availability, pricing, and payment.

  • What can I order?

    We offer:

    - Single Fillets (1–2 lbs each, vacuum-sealed)

    - Single Portions (6–12 oz pieces)

    - Steaks (cross-cut bone-in steaks, ~1 lb each)

You can order just one, or as many as you’d like — but pricing is discounted at larger volumes.

  • How does pricing work?

Our salmon is priced by the pound.

Single pieces (fillets, portions, or steaks): higher per-pound price due to small quantity

    Bulk pricing starts at:

    10 lbs – discounted rate

20 lbs – best value per pound

You’ll select what you want on the form, and we’ll confirm the final total based on actual weight.

  • Can I pick up or have it shipped?

    Yes! You can choose between:

Local Pickup in select locations in Maine and New England

Shipping (nationwide within the U.S. via 1–3 day delivery)

All orders are shipped frozen with eco-friendly liners and frozen gel packs.

  • When will I get my order?

Pre-orders will be ready in mid-to-late August (after the season ends)

In-stock orders are filled on a rolling basis while supplies last

We’ll keep you updated every step of the way.

  • How do I pay?

Once your order is confirmed and weighed, we’ll send you a secure payment link. We accept:

    PayPal

    Square

    Venmo

    Cash (for pickups)

  • Will my salmon arrive frozen?

Yes — vacuum-packed, frozen within hours of harvest, and shipped with enough gel packs and insulation to stay frozen for up to 72 hours.

  • Still have questions?

We love talking about our fish. If you have any questions — about the product, handling, cooking, or ordering — reach out directly. We’re a small crew and we’re here to help.
